Stress is nothing new for communications professionals juggling multiple deadlines, fielding media inquiries and crafting messaging during a crisis. Over the last few decades, there has been a significant increase in stress for working Americans due to unsustainable workloads, changing demands and a decrease in the ability to control these factors. Now, we’ve added a global pandemic, working from home, online and hybrid schooling and a general blur between work-life. So how can we cope? Join PRSA Buffalo Niagara for a virtual Health & Wellness session A Primer for Understanding and Managing Chronic Stress. Dominic Cottone, senior managing director of the Leadership Consulting practice for Ferguson Partners and an expert in executive wellness will address:
• Individual awareness and acknowledgement of situational and environmental stressors;
• The link between our fears and induced stress;
• The four key aspects to our health that determines high performance, healthy functioning and increased levels of happiness;
• Repositioning our mindset to view stress in alternative ways;
• Creating a vision for stress management through application, support and goal setting.
A question & answer session will follow the presentation.
