Connecting with local reporters is a known challenge in our industry. We think it's time to get reacquainted with (or introduce yourself) to some media members in this longtime favorite program: Media Speed Networking.

Join some of WNY’s most dynamic reporters in a series of one-time meetings lasting three minutes (Yes, three minutes. This is called "speed" networking after all)! Participants will sit across from a member of the local media to introduce themselves and their organizations, ask questions about beats and communication preferences, and add another contact to their media rolodex. This will be a fun activity that will focus on getting to know media members both personally and professionally. When time is up, attendees will move to a new chair and find themselves in front of another reporter to repeat the process. We anticipate lots of laughs and rapid-fire chair shifting.

Light refreshments will be served.

P.S. If you’re a little nervous about making small talk on the fly, don’t worry – we’ll supply a “Cheat Sheet” with some conversation-starting questions!
