UPDATE: Due to the unprecedented snowstorm that hit Western New York during the week of Nov. 17, PRSA Buffalo Niagara’s Annual Meeting has been postponed from Nov. 20 to Dec. 10.

It's time once again for the Annual Meeting of PRSA Buffalo Niagara Chapter. During the lunchtime event, we will elect Board Members for the 2015 year, recognize recent APR recipients and hear remarks from both the outgoing and incoming Chapter president.

As always, we will also provide an engaging outside presentation. This year, we will focus on one of the most-talked-about local PR stories of 2014: 43North.

On Feb. 5, 2014, 43North – the world's largest business idea competition, with $5 million in cash prizes to attract entrepreneurs to Buffalo – was launched. By May 31, the competition had received 6,932 applications from 96 countries and all 50 states.

Learn how the 43North marketing team worked closely with their marketing/communications vendors and community partners to formulate and execute a plan that resulted in more than 14 million social media impressions and coverage in media outlets like Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Financial Times and Toronto Star.

• Vegetable Napoleon: layers of roasted vegetables (zucchini, summer squash, Portobello mushroom, Vidalia onion, eggplant and red peppers) with goat cheese and a light tomato coulee (vegetarian/gluten-free)
• Marinated Grilled Chicken served over orzo salad and mango salsa
• Asiago-Stuffed Gnocchi with tomato-basil sauce (vegetarian)

1. Registration begins at 11:15 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon, concurrent with the election and remarks. The presentation will begin at approximately 12:45 p.m. and end by 1:30 p.m.
